Congratulations to Sam Higgins, boy soprano in Boston Conservatory’s “Chichester Psalms”

Sam Higgins, member of the Boston City Singers OperaKids and Cantare programs, sang beautifully at Wednesday night’s performance of the Chichester Psalms with the Boston Conservatory Choruses and Orchestra.

The performance was part of the annual collaboration between the Boston Conservatory Choruses and Orchestra under the direction of George Case. This year, the theme was From West to East: Psalms, Songs, and Hymns, and included works by British and American composers based on texts from many faiths and cultural traditions.

Boston City Singers’ OperaKids program, directed by Wendy Silverberg, is a unique opera training program that allows eligible students in any of Boston City Singers’ divisions to take part in exceptional performance opportunities with opera and musical theatre companies throughout the year. Companies the OperaKids have performed with recently include Trinity Church, Odyssey Opera, Boston Opera Collaborative, and The Boston Conservatory.

Sam is also a member of the Dorchester Cantare program, directed by Josh DeWitte.
