Boston City Singers Tour Choir in concert with Saengerfest Men's Chorus
Could there be any better way to celebrate a gorgeous spring weekend after the winter we’ve had than to have your spirits uplifted and your senses soothed by a concert in Boston’s famed Faneuil Hall? Golden voices, young and old — the Boston City Singers join the Boston Saengerfest Men’s Chorus to celebrate spring . . . at last!
The concert is called “A Place for Us.” The songs come from the genius of Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Jerome Kern, and others. The program celebrates some of the best that these distinguished composers have given us from musicals “West Side Story” and “Sweeney Todd”, plus the films “Swing Time” and “Very Warm for May.” Led by choral directors Jane Money and Tom Berryman, the evening is guaranteed to put the sunshine in your hearts.
And what “A Place for Us” it is. Faneuil Hall, the cradle of liberty, is a stunning performance space. What better chance to celebrate Mothers Day at one of Quincy Market’s fabulous restaurants before or after the music.
Take the time now to plan a party with your family and friends for this one-of-a-kind choral collaboration between Saengerfest’s men and BCS’s kids in their annual joint concert. Little kids, big kids, and even bigger kids–what could sound more beautiful and lift your spirits in musical celebration.
The date is May 8, the time is 8:00 pm, the place is Faneuil Hall
